Our Philosophy

suuperstitch follows a human-first, AI-assisted approach. We believe AI is a powerful tool for improving product discovery, but it should never replace human editorial judgement.

We use AI where it adds genuine value, and we're transparent about exactly where and how.

What AI Does on suuperstitch

Currently, we use AI to:

Product Metadata Enrichment

AI helps generate structured product attributes such as occasion, style, aesthetic, fabric type, pattern, colour, neckline, silhouette, and price tier. These attributes improve search, filtering, and product discovery.

Product Summaries and Tags

AI assists in generating concise product summaries and high-intent search tags that help you find relevant products more easily.

Search and Categorisation

AI helps match products to relevant categories and search queries, improving the accuracy and relevance of search results.

Recommendations

AI powers "similar products" suggestions and personalised recommendations based on browsing patterns and wishlist activity (for signed-in users).

Internal Operations

AI assists with internal data enrichment, catalogue processing, and operational efficiency tasks that are not directly user-facing.

What AI Does Not Do

To be equally clear about the boundaries:

• AI does not select which brands appear on suuperstitch. Brand approval is a human editorial decision.
• AI does not determine editorial rankings. Product ordering in curated collections is driven by human curation.
• AI does not write editorial content autonomously. Any AI-assisted content is reviewed by our team.
• AI does not make purchasing recommendations. We do not use AI to tell you what to buy.
• AI does not process your personal data for advertising. We don't build AI-driven advertising profiles.

Technology We Use

We currently use Google Gemini API for AI-powered metadata generation. Product data (not personal user data) is sent to the Gemini API for processing. The API analyses product information such as titles, descriptions, images, and brand context to generate structured metadata.

No personal user data is sent to AI services. AI processing is applied to product catalogue data only.

Human Oversight

Every piece of AI-generated content that appears on suuperstitch is subject to human editorial review. Our editorial team reviews AI outputs for:

• Accuracy: Is the information factually correct?
• Relevance: Are the tags and attributes appropriate for the product?
• Quality: Does the content meet our editorial standards?
• Consistency: Is the tone and style consistent with the rest of the platform?

Human editorial judgement is the final authority for all content published on suuperstitch.

Limitations and Honesty

AI is not perfect. Despite human review, AI-generated content may occasionally contain:

• Inaccurate descriptions or attribute classifications
• Incomplete or missing information
• Classifications that don't perfectly match the product

We continuously improve our AI pipeline and review processes. If you notice incorrect AI-generated information, please report itand we'll correct it.

Future AI Use

As our platform evolves, we may expand our use of AI to:

• Improve personalised discovery and recommendations
• Enhance visual search capabilities
• Generate richer product comparisons
• Improve accessibility (e.g., AI-generated image descriptions)

Any new AI features will be introduced with the same commitment to transparency, human oversight, and accuracy. This page will be updated to reflect any significant changes in our AI usage.
