Our Editorial Process

How It Works

suuperstitch is not an automated aggregator. We don't scrape the internet and dump everything onto a page. Every brand and product goes through a multi-step editorial process before it appears on the platform.

Step 1: Discovery

Our team continuously researches and discovers fashion brands from across India. We look at:

• Independent fashion labels and emerging designers
• Established brands with strong design identities
• Social media, fashion communities, and industry publications
• Brand submissions from designers and founders via our Submit a Brand page

Step 2: Brand Evaluation

Every discovered brand is evaluated against our editorial standards:

• Design quality: Is the design thoughtful and well-executed?
• Craftsmanship: Does the brand demonstrate attention to quality?
• Aesthetics: Does the brand have a clear visual identity?
• Originality: Does it offer something distinctive?
• Reputation: Is the brand trustworthy and reliable?
• Value: Does it offer fair value for its quality?

Brands that don't meet our standards are not listed, regardless of any other factor. No payment, relationship, or partnership can override this evaluation.

Step 3: Product Catalogue Review

Once a brand is approved, our team reviews their product catalogue. We select products that best represent the brand and meet our curation standards. We don't list everything, we curate a selection.

Products may be excluded if they:

• Don't meet our quality or design standards
• Are out of stock or discontinued
• Have incomplete or unreliable product information
• Don't align with the suuperstitch experience

Step 4: AI-Assisted Enrichment

Selected products are enriched using AI to generate structured metadata, including attributes like occasion, style, aesthetic, and fabric type. This enrichment improves search, filtering, and discovery.

All AI-generated metadata is reviewed by our editorial team for accuracy and quality before it goes live.

Step 5: Publication and Curation

Approved products are published to the platform and organised into:

• Category pages for browsable discovery
• Curated collections around themes, occasions, or aesthetics
• Search results powered by enriched metadata
• Recommendation feeds for personalised discovery

Step 6: Ongoing Review

Our work doesn't stop after publication. We continuously:

• Monitor product accuracy and availability
• Update metadata and attributes when needed
• Review and act on user-reported issues
• Re-evaluate brands periodically
• Add new brands and products through ongoing discovery

• Quality over quantity:We'd rather feature 100 great products than 10,000 mediocre ones.
• Independence: Editorial decisions are never influenced by commercial relationships.
• Transparency: We publicly share our process, standards, and methods.
• Accountability: When we make mistakes, we correct them openly.
• Human judgement: AI assists, but humans decide.
